Colorado State Forest Service Now Accepting Seedling Tree ApplicationsContributed by The Colorado State Forest Service Nursery is now accepting applications on a first-come, first-serve basis for more than 40 varieties of low-cost seedling trees and shrubs. Seedlings ordered now will be distributed statewide next spring. __________________________ Tree SaleContributed by Have a festive holiday and help support the Alpha Chapter of the Society of American Foresters by purchasing a tree from CSU’s student foresters. Our lodgepole pine trees are hand‐harvested from the Pingree Park Campus and promote a healthy, well‐managed forest through stand thinning and ladder fuel removal. All proceeds from tree sales support the SAF Alpha Chapter and provide student foresters the opportunity to utilize their skills by practicing sustainable forestry in the field. Please print and return attached order form to room 103 in the Forestry Building by Friday, November 21 at 4:00 p.m. Or email orders to forestrystudentscsu@gmail.com Trees will be available to pick up on campus in early December (dates to be announced) and can be paid for at that time. I am helping to distribute the attached recruitment flyer for her study. She is looking to interview folks that experienced a loss of any sort during the fire. Her intent with the project is to better determine needs of survivors of major wildfire events.
